Description
The Horizons Mix and Match Quilting Collection by Anita Goodesign is your ticket to embroidering these imaginative landscape scenes. The embroidery collection features 12 different applique landsape scenes and is a perfect scrap busting project. In class, you will learn how to applique “in the hoop" as I guide you through the step-by-step instructions for building your applique landscape.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a one-session class. You’ll be embroidering 1-2 blocks in class. You will learn everything you need to complete the remaining blocks on your own.
WHAT TO BRING:
Embroidery machine in good working order, bobbins, embroidery presser foot, power cord, manual

Download onto USB before class. Bring printed Tutorial and pattern. Please check that you can open the designs on your machine BEFORE you come to class.
Hoop size needed for design. Designs sizes range from 5"x 5" (or 5" x 7" for rectangle) to 10" x 10". Choose the size you want to use. Come to class with design #1 (if you want a square block) or design #13 (if you want a rectangle block). Download at least one other design of your choice onto the USB
Size 90/14 Topstitch needles
Embroidery thread to coordinate with fabric as well as stitch out accent stitches
Embroidery bobbin thread
Extra bobbins wound with embroidery bobbin thread
Sewing or embroidery thread in a neutral color
(2) pieces of quilt batting or Battalizer at least 2 inches larger than the size of embroidery hoop
(2) pieces of no-show mesh stabilizer at least 2 inches larger than the size of the embroidery hoop
Assortment of fabric for your landscape scene sized at least 4" x width of embroidery hoop. Think of what colors you want for sky, sun, clouds and land elements. Various fabric types — burlap, suede, felt, silk, etc can be used to add texture
Fabric scissors/snips
Seam ripper
Sharp curved or offset snips for trimming applique fabric OR applique scissors
Rotary cutter (optional, but recommended)
Pen, paper for taking notes
